DIRTY BABY is guitarist/composer Nels Cline and poet/producer David Breskin’s visionary recontextualization of Ed Ruscha's "censor strip" paintings. This sumptuous double-CD box set includes more than an hour-and-a-half of new music by Cline for two large ensembles, paired booklets with reproductions of 66 Ruscha pictures, and insightful liner notes by Nels.

Initiate by The Nels Cline Singers has hit the streets to universal acclaim.  Initiate is the 4th recording by the Singers, and Cline’s 7th release as a leader on Cryptogramophone.  The double CD documents a remarkable 3-day recording session at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, and a live concert at Cafe du Nord in Oakland, CA.  Throughout the beautifully designed Digipak are 6 photographs of the Large Hedron Collider at CERN Switzerland by photographer Simon Norfolk. .

February 10, 2009, Cryptogramophone released new CDs by guitarist Nels Cline, and drummer/percussionist Alex Cline.  Coward by Nels Cline is the guitarist's first solo/overdub CD, and it will blow you away.  Continuation by Alex Cline features Myra Melford on piano, Peggy Lee on cello, Jeff Gauthier on violin, and Scott Walton on bass.  It's an incredibly moving and beautiful musical journey.  These CDs are available NOW!
