Cryptogramophone is a Los Angeles based record label that presents state of the art recordings of creative jazz, in beautifully designed digipaks. Cryptogramophone was formed in 1998 by violinist/producer Jeff Gauthier, to serve the needs of a community of creative jazz artists committed to exploring the cutting edge of improvisation, composition, artistic vision, emotion, and innovation.

Cryptogramophone produced an internationally known creative jazz and world music concert series in Los Angeles called Cryptonight, currently on hiatus. Cryptogramophone also runs indiejazz.com, an online record store offering quality but hard to find independent jazz and creative music.
